Bio

I’m supposed to tell you what my music is, but to tell you the truth, I don’t really think I can.  Some might say Roots Rock or Americana, but I’m not sure.  It leaves too much out.  I love guitars, melodies, stories, harmonies and lots of drums.  Maybe you can tell me.

In Texas, I grew up on a healthy diet of AM Radio.  This hodgepodge of artists — Elvis, Otis Redding, The Beach Boys, The Supremes, Roy Orbison, The Four Seasons, and of course The Beatles and all the other greats of the British Invasion, would shape me and my music.

The soundtrack of my early life was Bob Wills, Hank Williams, Chuck Berry, Patsy Cline, The Everly Brothers, and Buddy Holly on jukeboxes everywhere.  Later I would experience the Austin Blues scene, where artists like Muddy Waters and Freddie King performed regularly in nightclubs.

They all made their mark.  All are my heroes and part of my music.

I hope you enjoy it.
